Company History
The genesis of erecruit began in 1996 when Judd Hoffman founded Hoffman Recruiters in Boston, MA. Judd quickly discovered that while there were plenty of contact management applications in the marketplace, there was no real software available to run an entire staffing firm. In 1999, he brought on Danko Fatovic as his partner.
Judd and Danko had backgrounds in consulting, both having worked for a leading systems integration company implementing enterprise financial systems for large corporations. Furthermore, Danko held a degree in Engineering from MIT. So they decided to invest in building a complete recruitment management system themselves.
Over ten years’ time the software evolved into an incredible competitive advantage for Hoffman. In 2009 a number of staffing firms – frustrated with the expense and functional limitations of the SaaS-based offerings they were using – approached Hoffman to inquire about the product.
The reaction by the market was incredible, although not entirely unexpected. “We’ve never seen a system like this.” “It does all of the things we’ve been trying to do for years.” “The financial control is amazing.” “How can we buy it?”
The rest, as they say, is history. erecruit was established as a separate company to deliver world-class staffing management solutions and services. Hoffman Recruiters has since been sold and Judd and Danko are now completely divested in its divisions, business control and operations, allowing them to focus strictly on staffing software solutions.
